Say what you want about Bill Cosby, who now I think about it has been pretty quiet during this election season, but he nailed one point in his Come On People: On The Path From Victims to Victors book with Dr. Alvin Poussaint and that's the fact that there is a serious problem with the school systems in many of our cities. Chicago State Senator James Meeks was part of a group that organized a boycott in his city this past Tuesday to protest unequal education funding in Illinois. Don't be blinded by the bright lights of the Presidential race, if you truly want to make an immediate change, you have to participate in activism on a local level.
